International Certification
In order to provide better healthcare services to international patients, we have worked hard to make our treatment more accessible to them. In particular, we have special rooms and manuals especially for them, and multilingual posters and signs in the hospital.The Kaikoukai Healthcare Group has a department dedicated to supporting international patients.
In February 2015, we became the first private hospital in the Chubu region to be accredited by the Japan Medical Service Accreditation for International Patients (JMIP).
The Japan Medical Service Accreditation for International Patients (JMIP) is an accreditation system established by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare as part of a national program to encourage healthcare providers to accept international patients. The Japan Medical Education Foundation impartially and fairly evaluates how healthcare institutions accept them, so that people will be able to feel secure about receiving medical services while visiting or living in Japan.
In April 2020, we became the first private hospital in Aichi Prefecture to be recommended by Medical Excellence JAPAN* (MEJ) as a Japan International Hospital (JIH).
Japan International Hospitals (JIHs)
In order to encourage Japanese healthcare institutions to accept international patients, MEJ recommends hospitals as Japan International Hospitals (JIHs) if they show that they actively want to accept international patients and are committed to being able to do so.These healthcare institutions are recommended to governments and healthcare institutions overseas through the MEJ's portal site, which provides overviews of the hospitals and their treatments.
Medical Excellence Japan
Medical Excellence Japan is a general incorporated association that was established to serve as a core organization for rolling out the government's policy to promote the international expansion of healthcare, which is a pillar of Japan's growth strategy.It promotes international cooperation on healthcare based on mutual cooperation with between governments, the healthcare community, academia, the medical industry, and other relevant parties.

Special Clinic Floors for International Patients
We have special clinic floors exclusively for international patients on the 3rd floor of the Outpatient Building.There, they can check in, have a pre-consultation, get their results explained, pay their fees, and so on all on this floor, so they can see a doctor without any unnecessary stress.We also offer special private rooms for international inpatients, so that they can be treated while staying in a quiet environment. The Kaikoukai Healthcare Group has a special department dedicated to accepting international patients smoothly.It has dedicated staff to interpret for patients and coordinate their treatment while they are in Japan, so that they will not feel confused about how to use healthcare institutions in Japan.
